Recruitment Process
- Search and Apply Online
Vacancies for all of our sites can be found by following the Vacancies links on the main page of our website.
- Applications Reviewed
Once your application has been received, our recruitment team will assess your skills, experience and qualifications against the key competencies required for the role. All unsuccessful applicants will receive an e-mail notification within two weeks of the closing date of the advertisement.
- Interviews
If our team believes your skills, experience and qualifications are a possible match to the job requirements, you will be contacted by the relevant LGL Careers team member to schedule a Targeted Selection interview. Depending on your location, this may be face-to-face, by phone or video conferencing. The Targeted Selection style of interviewing is based on ascertaining suitability by asking the interviewee to provide real life of examples of achievements within the workplace, as per the core competencies of the role. All unsuccessful applicants will receive an e-mail notification within one week of the Phone Screen.
If your Targeted Selection interview appears to meet the core competencies required of the role, you will be contacted by an LGL Careers Team member to schedule a second interview. Depending on your location, this may be face-to-face, by phone or video conferencing. The interview would usually be conducted between yourself, a site HR representative and the Hiring Manager for the role. All unsuccessful applicants will receive an e-mail notification within one week of the Targeted Selection Interview.
- Site visit
Site visits are an opportunity for you to meet face-to-face with the Hiring Manager for the role, some members of the team you would work with and a HR representative. The visit will also include a tour of the site and surrounding township to ensure candidates have sufficient information about the role and the infrastructure of the location you would be living and working in. If you need to travel to the location, LGL will pay for and organise the travel and accommodation.
- Medical, reference checking or other assessments
Depending on the role and location, you may be required to undergo a medical and/or other assessments. We may also ask you to provide us with the contact details of suitable referees for the reference checking process. Medical and other assessments will be scheduled and paid for by LGL.
- Job offer
If you are the successful candidate, you will be contacted and we will make a verbal offer. Upon your verbal acceptance a formal contract and associated new employee paperwork will follow a short time later.
If relocation is necessary, details will be negotiated at this stage. Relocation will be organised through the LGL Careers team.
